The Ultimate Guide to Glowing Skin with Resident Facile Dermatology + Boutique Expert

And that’s why we invited Caroline, licensed Medical Aesthetician and skin specialist at Facile Dermatology + Boutique, to share with you her top tips for creating the perfect skin regimen for happy, glowing skin. 1. Exfoliate 2-3 times per week

By ridding your skin of excess dead skin cells, products can penetrate better and allows fresh, new skin to surface. Different ways to exfoliate include benzoyl peroxide and/or salicylic acid cleanser and monthly dermaplaning.

2. Double (or triple!) cleanse

Makeup remover is not the same thing as face wash! If you have makeup on it’s crucial to take it off with a makeup remover and then cleanse your face—once with a gentle cleanser and once with a deeper penetrating wash. Mini tip: If you’re still feeling like your skin could use some extra brightening + TLC I always recommend a great alcohol-free toner to get any leftover debris off the skin and prep it for your active ingredients!

3. Incorporate SPF into your skincare regimen

The most important brightening advice is to prevent dark spots from forming (instead of trying to repair dull skin). The best way to do this is with a daily sun protectant of at least 46 SPF.

4. Lymphatic drainage massage with gua sha

A weekly gua sha massage to your skin helps to relieve tension and stress. You can do this at home with Sagely Naturals’ Brightening CBD Face Serum and either your fingers or a trusty gua sha tool/jade roller!

5. Prioritize self care 

Having a set routine for skincare, work, play, exercise, and food will make anyone’s skin automatically glowy! A happy face is a glowy face. Personally, I like to make sure I have a relaxing nightly routine and get enough sleep using Sagely Natural’s Drift & Dream Body Oil.
