With the advice at the moment to “cancel everything” and stay at home—you might be starting to realize there are only so many Netflix series, good books, and online scrolling you can do before going a little stir crazy. But while we work to each do our part to resolve the current health crisis, we've compiled some “home-cation” suggestions to help make your time quarantined as interesting—and perhaps even as productive—as possible.

Take a Virtual Class

While gathering in an exotic location to take a cooking class might not be advisable right now—there are more options than ever to take classes online. From celeb-fave HIIT classes to cooking to music to languages (and more!)—find one you’ve always wanted to do and support a small business while you’re at it.

At-Home Glamping

if you have a cozy outdoor space or yard—consider pitching a tent and sleeping under the stars in your own backyard. If that’s not possible, then clear out the living room, set up your sleeping bags, grab some marshmallows, and camp indoors for a family or roommate sleepover.

Start an Indoor Garden Sanctuary

If, like many of us, you don't have yards to escape into while social distancing—becoming a plant mom and creating an indoor garden sanctuary can be especially rewarding and calming. Whether you have a couple of plants, a cactus or two or are even regrowing produce like spring onions —call your local plant store for suggestions on how to get started.

Create Your At-Home Spa

A relaxing day at the spa has never sounded so good. But you don’t have to miss out entirely. Load up on luxurious CBD skincare products, get a warm towel and face cloth ready, dim the lights, light some scented candles, hit play on your favorite soothing playlist and enjoy a few extra minutes under a warming shower.

Group Call Your Loved Ones

Take a virtual vacation to visit family and maintain your sense of connection and community with your loved ones. Have the grandparents read the grandchildren a story, show off your home improvements to your friends, or host a music jam session to inject a sense of fun, lightness, and belonging.

Start Planning Your Fantasy Vacation

Take advantage of this extra time at home to start planning your ultimate vacation. Research online travel guides, luxury hotels, active adventures, and potential itineraries. Invite your ultimate travel partners to contribute to the process and give yourselves permission to dream big!

Shake Up Your Routine

Change up your usual routine every once in a while and indulge in some vacation-worthy treats like breakfast in bed, try a new cuisine, leave the dishes (or take out containers) for tomorrow, and take a luxurious bath, pamper yourself with a luxe CBD body oil before bed.

Host a Virtual Dinner Party

Dining out in a new location is always enjoyable and relaxing—recreate the vibe at home by attempting your best fine dining cooking experience, dust off your fine cutlery, make a classic cocktail (don’t forget the garnishes!), and invite your favorite people to enjoy your online dinner party.

Go to the “Movies”

While you might be starting to tire of watching TV shows—create your own at-home, luxe cinema experience with blankets, popcorn, your favorite drink, pull the curtains, and cue surround sound.

By the time social distancing and self-isolation are a thing of the past—keeping things fresh at home will mean you’ll be more likely to re-enter the “real world” feeling recharged, energized, and brimming with new ideas and inspiration for “where to from here?”.
